World Series 2007: The team from a state with a trans-inclusive civil rights law vs. the team from a state with a transphobic gay-only law.
Or…
Vs.
Yeh, okay, there is that lingering concern about the Rockies preferring players with “character” (and we all know what that’s a codeword for.)
Still, I see it as Colorado (the state) vs. Massachusetts (the state) - a state with a trans-inclusive law vs. a state that not only has a transphobic gay-only law but also has given us the congressman who wants to pass a federal vrsion of his state’s trsnsphobic gay-only law.
Rockies in 5.

I am not quite sure which team to root for. On the one hand, I am from New England (where the Red Sox are not a team, they are a religion). On the other Colorado has Trinidad … a place I and quite a few other TSs have fond memories of.

No one has to convince me to root for anyone other than the Sox (it should be the Mets in there, not the Rockies, but I digress…). The Sox, like the Yankees, annoy me just in general because of this popular presupposition that they’re just “supposed” to win and if they don’t something’s wrong…witness the ridiculous level of blame placed on Joe Torre for not taking the Yanks to the Series this year after bringing them to the playoffs twelve years in a row.
I dunno…I guess I’m still sore about the Mets losing a slot to in playoffs (or the Series, like last year) by a hair’s breadth…again.

Come on ladies, focus! I’m not sure what the CR considers “character” and lets get past regional comparisons. I am a master of the obvious and being really pissed of at barney frank and the hrc, it gives me an chance to say”FRIENDS DON”T SCREW FRIENDS OVER”.

Kara Harkins says:
“Colorado has Trinidad”
I wasn’t even factoring that in.
Should the Rockies ever meet the Brewers in the playoffs…
Nah - lets not go there.

I was a fan of the Sox until they won the World Series. Now I dislike them almost as much as the Yankees - but not quite, of course.
