Crazy Transphobes vs. Obnoxious Transphobes

Cut the ‘independent’ shit.

Stephen H. Miller, over at <cough, hack> Independent Gay Forum trots out more of the usual anti-inclusionist gay garbage:

I’m often critical of the Human Rights Campaign for turning itself into the LGBT fundraising arm of the Democratic Party. But it’s good to remember that hard-core LGBT activist loonies are even more hostile to HRC, for all the wrong reasons.

Sorry, but the only ‘wrong’ reason to hate HRC is if its part of general homophobia.

Naturally, there are plenty of HRC/transphobia/Miller sycophants over at IGF - not the least of whom is Richard Rosendall who, yet again, defends St. Barney and the keepers of the gay-only flame:

There has been much denouncing of Barney Frank by people who refuse to address the substantive arguments he laid out in a ten thousand word speech on the floor of the House last October 9. The Task Force even continues to claim that a gay-only version of ENDA would not protect gay people anyway because (the claim goes) they are really discriminated against based on their gender expression. This was conclusively refuted by both Barney Frank and our own Dale Carpenter, but the Task Force and Lambda Legal pay no attention.

Making it a mantra doesn’t make it true.  The ‘refutation’ is as bogus as the ’substantive’ arguments of St. Barney.

I’ll repeat what I’ve often said about this: If you (or your surrogates) create the problem, you don’t gat to sit back and claim helplessness when the problem results in something that benefits you, even potentially.  Just ask the 1979 Chicago White Sox.
