One of the modern media tricks of the criminal enterprise that currently calls itself the Republican Party is to use carefully-placed tokens to deflect its core values of racism and misogyny.
Of course, this tokenism doesn’t go all the way (no truth from Ken Mehlman about himself, no leadership position for David Dreier, etc.). Similarly, HRC can’t seem to go all the way either. In yet another attempt to con everyone into accepting The Religion o’ Incremental Progress, it trotted out a timeline, under the byline of one Chris Johnson – a timeline that could be legitimately read as apologia for lack of substantive action on race- and sex-based civil rights issues.
Is Chris Johnson a trans woman – the class of individuals most impacted by trans-absence in civil rights legislation? No.
Is Chris Johnson a trans man – a class of individuals almost as negatively impacted by trans-absence in civil rights legislation in spite of a few token hires from this class by HRC? I don’t know for sure, but I’m guessing not.
Yet, for an organization that could easily rename itself the Homosexual Whites’ Campaign, I think the word ‘token’ is still applicable. My point, though, is that it certainly appears that they can’t even dredge up a token tranny to do their smarmy spinning.
