To Hell With ‘Today’

From the Hollywood Reporter:

NBC’s “Today” show has hired someone with White House experience as a new correspondent — former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager.

‘Scuse me while I kiss this overflowing spitoon.

Well, no – but that’s something I’ll be more likely to do than ever watching Today again.

Even at that, here’s the money shot:

“It wasn’t something I’d always dreamed to do,” she said. “But I think one of the most important things in life is to be open-minded and to be open-minded for change.”

I can presume, then, that she’s never actually met her father?

Much like I dont want to be known as the exact same thinker as my parents, and can come to the conclusion of my own opionions…don’t you think she deserves the same?

We all scream to be taken as individuals and not have a label and be thought about a free thinker that deserves the same platform as everyone else, why should she be different?

She may end up being Dubya’s Ron Reagan.

However, she’s just another rich brat being given yet another underserved opportunity – and my disgust is as much with the network for pandering to the Bush family as it is with the Bush kid herself.

Its a shame for a blog from the LGBT community to cast stones at another because of birth path she had no choice in…

Her book is very good and has nothing to do with anything political but helping those less fortunate, and bring to light these issues including education. She has a platform and is bringing theses causes to the masses, just as Angelina Jolie does, yet it seems it fine for a spoilt Hollywood, Home wrecker to bring it life and have completly different opnions to her father, but not Jenna Bush?

I am always a big supporter of LGBT rights for the same reason I am that everyone no matter what color or life they have come from if they are good citizens and good people, they should be treated as such. Everyone is a individual and everyone deserves the same treatment unless they prove otherwise.

I agree with pottokettle.. And I’ll post my name to it. If WE in the trans coummunity are asking right of center members of Congress to be open minded, we ourselves must do the same. The Gay and Lesbian lobbyists have tried to block trans inclusion because they were not open minded and practicing a failed form of “diversity”. Its not diversity on MY terms or diversity on YOUR terms. Its pure diversity, and if I have a problem with others opinions, the problem resides in me and NOT the other person…..
