I think I smell advance erasure – the advance erasure of the matter of rectifying New York’s 2002 legislative atrocity which gives gays and lesbians the right to discriminate against trans people. From Archie Bunker’s favorite newspaper:
Our Kate Lucadamo is on scene at the Empire State Pride Agenda‘s Fall Dinner, where just a short time ago, Andrew Cuomo told attendees he wants to make their hopes of legal same-sex marriage a reality.
“I don’t want to be the governor who just proposes marriage equality. I don’t want to be the governor who lobbies for marriage equality. I don’t want to be the governor who fights for marriage equality. I want to be the governor who signs the law that makes equality a reality in the state of New York,” said the Democratic nominee.
The declaration was “music to our ears,” one activist said.
…and whispered in the sounds of silence

Okay, I misspoke. I hear the sound of erasure.
The words of institutionalized transphobia are written in existing gay-only law,
And gay marriage awe.
And belched forth, in the sounds of the same old shit.
