The Power of the ‘All Gay Marriage, All the Time’ Steamroller

Tom Lang posted on Facebook that he:

just called his Senator’s Chief Legislative Aide re: the MA Trans Bill to get a meeting with him. The aide who has been with him for years was “shocked” to hear that Transgender and Transsexual individuals can lose their jobs in MA for their being T’s. So, why is this the first time she has heard this?

A lot of steam and a lot of rollin’ can ensure that a lot of educatin’ never gets done.

Or…

maybe the aide has just been sitting on a plane next to Mara Keisling for the last 22 years (didn’t I see that on the X-Files once…the episode right after the Jesse Ventura ‘men in black’ ep, perhaps?).

    quel surprise!

That can’t be right – I’ve been assured by the Board Chair of Mass Equality that they’ve diligently worked on this issue and provided education for the last decade. And that any suggestion they were stifling that process were the diseased ramblings of one of their own leaders quoted in the Boston Globe.

    Or some such.

Doubtlessly, they just xeroxed the same ‘education’ packets that HRC used to ‘educate’ Congress on ENDA from 1994 to 2007.

      The best offense is…

      an imaginary one.

That said – I don’t bother people when they’re not at work. If they appear receptive to conversation – I’ll take a stab, sure.

I just bother them at work – or so my co-workers say.
