Because We Must Do Everything in Our Power to Avoid Expending Any Energy on Making Trans People Equal to Gay People

From Equality (Allegedly) Matters:

Spoken like a true I’m-already-more-equal-than-you-trans-scum-and-I-plan-on-driving-the-agenda-as-far-away-from-trans-equality-as-I-can DC gay media elite-oid.

And, of course, the gay marriage primacy enforcement circle-jerk squad is out in full force over at InsidersOut-approved propaganda outlets.  But, alas, there are some dissenting voices!

Marriage is next?

Who here was asked by any national organization which LGBT issue is to be next?  While all of Kerry Eleveld’s arguments for same-sex marriage are spot on, I’m a little troubled by this declaration.

I for one reject the one issue at a time strategy that seems to be coming from Democrats and the larger national groups, so I won’t say which item should be next (or you could think of it as full equality should be next).  But if that strategy is to be embraced, who exactly is setting the priorities?  Who are they accountable to?

Have any of the posters here been asked what should be next?

The question always seems to come down to:  Are you Inside? ‘Er Out?
