Fine, Then – You’re Married And Haven’t Started Cranking Out Kids Within 9 Months? Your Marriage Isn’t Valid to Me, Now Get the Hell Out!

Because Iowa has no economic or budgetary issues whatsoever that need to be addressed:

House Study Bill 50 – Introduced

HOUSE FILE _____ BY (PROPOSED COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY BILL BY CHAIRPERSON ANDERSON)

1 A BILL FOR An Act establishing the religious conscience protection Act.

2 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

19 2. a. Except as provided in paragraph “b” , an individual,

20 sole proprietor, or small business shall not be required to do

21 any of the following if doing so would cause the individual

22 or sole proprietor to violate the individual’s or sole

23 proprietor’s sincerely held religious beliefs or the small

24 business to violate the sincerely held religious beliefs to

25 which the small business subscribes:

26 (1) Provide goods or services that assist or promote

27 the solemnization or celebration of a marriage, or provide

28 counseling or other services that directly facilitate the

29 perpetuation of a marriage.

30 (2) Provide benefits to the spouse of an employee.

31 (3) Provide housing to a married couple.

….

Aside from the fact that the moron who authored this believes that a “business” can actually have “beliefs”…..

No, I think I’ll just stop there.

  1. We’ve coined a new word for those acts of the House of Representatives designed to put aside their oaths to protect the Constitution, their obligation to look at actual State problems like unemployment, inadequate or inaccessible health care, the support of public education, etc., in favor of ill-conceived ideological grandstanding in a vein with the notoriously bigoted beliefs of our Governor, Terry Branstad. We call it “branstanding.”

It’s a waste of our taxpayer dollars, disgusting on multiple ethical levels, and a more or less obvious effort to obscure the fact that the House doesn’t know what to do about our very real economic and public good problems.

  2. Your dad says:

Get a real job, you whiny cunt.
