From Politics on the Hudson:
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he would push to have a same-sex marriage bill pass the Legislature this session.“I want to see it become the law of the state of New York and we’re going to take it up this session,” Cuomo said when asked about the issue following a budget presentation at Hofstra University.
Asked what he was doing to work on the bill getting passed the Republican-led Senate, he responded, “We’re working very hard to pass it.”
Cuomo also mentioned the issue in his State of the State address last month, saying, “We believe in justice for all, then let’s pass marriage equality this year once and for all.”
If he really believes in justice for all, then he’ll tell the already-over-privileged gays and lesbians of New York to STFU about marriage and, instead, work to remove their own superior-to-trans-people class status by getting GENDA enacted.
