Isn’t it Funny How Gays Are So Willing to Give in to ‘Political Reality’ on Trans Issues, But Never on Gay Marriage?

Instead of simply unleashing a shitstorm at him, has anyone tried to see if maybe he’d instead go for civil unions?  Oh wait…no one is willing to consider civil unions; its all-or-nothing on marriage.  Trans rights?  Well…………….you know.

Reality: Arora smells like a Dumbass DINO and his smile looks as plastic as Ted Haggard’s.  I’d be pissed off too if I’d donated money to his campaign based on professed support for gay marriage (on the other hand, demanding the money back makes it seem like you were expecting a quid pro quo; I’m just sayin’….). 

But, then, wouldn’t trans people who may have donated money to HRC based on its professed exclusive support for a trans-inclusive ENDA have an equal right to be pissed because that organization went back on its word in 2007?

Or are we peons not allowed to ask such questions?

Well, I’m asking anyway.

If any Maryland legislator had made some specific representation regarding trans rights prior to being elected – and then subsequently went back on that pledge – would even 1% of the gays who are currently apoplectic over Arora even bat an eye?
