Why I’ll Refrain From Saying “I Told You So” to Grace Alexis

Grace Alexis writes at PHB:

Ok, here it goes, I was wrong.

1. I was wrong for believing that Israel Luna genuinely supported the Transsexual community.

2. I was wrong for believing Israel’s motivation behind the film “Ticked Off Tra**ies With Knives” was to empower the Transsexual community.

3. I was wrong for being a sucker and putting myself on the front lines defending Israel’s character and intentions.

4. I was wrong for dismissing legitimate concerns from rational and valued friends who objected to the content of “Ticked Off Tra**ies With Knives”.

Let the chorus of a thousand Transsexuals begin;

I would be temped to join the chorus, but I won’t.

Because Grace just did something that no one who was involved in selling the neo-apartheid 2001 Maryland gay-only rights law by claiming that trans people didn’t need to be included because we were already covered has ever been willing to do – and something that no one who has been involved with pushing the 2011 lie that homeless shelters are covered under HB 235 has been willing to do in any meaningful way.

She admitted that she was wrong.

She didn’t try to scrub her (or others’) history from the internet.

She didn’t enlist some overly-privileged, clueless retired professional to pepper websites with intonations that we should forget about relevant history.

She admitted that she was wrong.

Try to imagine how much less painful that the events in Maryland would have been this year if the con artists of 2001 and their successors-in-interest had finally just admitted what they did, asked for forgiveness from those who were on the short end of the con artistry, and truly opened up their hearts and minds to the possibility of legitimate political process.

Now, as for what Grace is pointing out?

Israel Luna is providing more proof of what he is.

He is the enemy.

Hopefully, no one else will get conned by him.

I never understood how anyone could have been ‘fooled’ by luna unless it was for selfish vindictive reasons. Luna made a movie celebrating horific murders of bar whores dressed in the transgender expression. Happy birthday bastard.

    • Katrina Rose says:

Ditto for buying into the ‘Equality’ Maryland shit.

But, I stand by what I said in the post: Admitting fault puts her miles above anyone connected with Maryland 2001 or Maryland 2011.

  2. Kathleen says:

Speaking of wrongs and apologies; what’s the difference between saying this:

He claims to be an ally.

With allies like these…well, you can see where I’m going with that — We don’t need “allies” like Luna.

    And saying this:

I feel that a transperson changing their identification (id, license, passport, etc.) is a must to do. It helps with job interviews, those embarrassing harassments in airport lines, but most importantly it shows the sex you feel you are inside…but to me, a birth certificate is an official document issued to record someone’s birth. If someone is born a certain sex and the certificate states that, then that’s what happened.

Both self censor to refrain from calling someone an enemy. One Was minutes before the other and just minutes before Autumn banned Kat for not saying ….well…..for not saying anything.

So – terms of service now cover what you don't say.

    That's pretty dickish.

  3. SarasNavel says:

Oh, the TOS at PHB are actually quite fair, except when applied by two of the moderator-“baristas”. I’ve never seen Pam do something like that but she also doesn’t speak up when Lurleen or Autumn work to shut down anyone that strays too far from the pro-lobby party line. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I’ve started avoiding posts with her name in the by-line, as are others. It’s a shame, as it has now progressed into the very clamping down on open discussion and equality that they each once purported to be against.

    • Kathleen says:

I was not aware of that. : )

    • Katrina Rose says:

Notice this comment by the sockpuppet and how the Cathy Brennan Lexicon is clearly in use:

There were two solid warnings in two other diaries on Sunday.
KatRose wasn’t banned for just this. This was KatRose’s attempt to continue to express the clearly-expressed homophobia she’d already gotten warnings for twice in the same day. She knew the rules, she was fairly warned twice, and as you can see in Autumn’s comment above she’s been given the option of working it out with Pam or Autumn behind the scenes if she wants to come back. If you have complaints about her being banned, you should complain to KatRose herself for not checking her homophobia at the door.

If you notice, this is clearly taken from the Cathy Brennan playbook – as expressed in laughable attempts at commentary to some of my ENDABlog posts – of calling me homophobic for pointing out gay transphobia.

It would seem as though Laurelurleen Ramsblogovitcheyer and the Sandeenista have found a ghostwriter in the form of a transphobic shyster who suffers from Marriage Derangement Syndrome and an inability to make even rudimentary competent legal analysis.

  5. Grace Alexis says:

Thank you so much for this very undeserved kindness.
    I will not forget it.

  6. Grace Alexis says:

I thought you may want to hear the follow up of his show where i called him to address him directly.
I had high hopes, but after the show it became obvious he just doesn’t get it, and never will.
