Being Compromised

Make no mistake: I rarely have ever found occasion to favorably quote Dana Beyer.  This, however, is one of those occasions:

The laughable-if-it-wasn’t-part-of-a-defense-of-trans-bullying-exterminationist-wannabees comment that prompted that bit of sanity from Beyer was:

Most women are willing to make tremendous compromises, even when it comes to our security. Where are the compromises from the transgender community?

That’s the wrong question.

It should be: Who makes the compromises for us against our will and without any input from us?

Then again…

The exterminationists – be they the rancid faux-radfems or the purple-and-yellow corporate skunks – already know the answer to that…

…and have it presented to them whenever they look in a mirror.

  2. It’s, once again, telling that the commenter to which she is responding to constructs her comment in such a way that cissexistly constructs trans women as not-women. She is asking women to be exposed to men and isolated from women and then doesn’t think about how unsafe that is.

      Personally, I think it would be more accurate to say that she just doesn’t care about how unsafe it is for trans women to be isolated from other women and exposed to men.
