How High Does the Temperature Have to Get Before We Realize We Are Frogs in the Water in the Kettle?

From TPM:

Conservative columnist Matthew Vadum is just going to come right out and say it: registering the poor to vote is un-American and “like handing out burglary tools to criminals.”

“It is profoundly antisocial and un-American to empower the nonproductive segments of the population to destroy the country — which is precisely why Barack Obama zealously supports registering welfare recipients to vote,” Vadum, the author of a book published by World Net Daily that attacks the now-defunct community organizing group ACORN, writes in a column for the American Thinker.

“Encouraging those who burden society to participate in elections isn’t about helping the poor,” Vadum writes. “It’s about helping the poor to help themselves to others’ money. It’s about raw so-called social justice. It’s about moving America ever farther away from the small-government ideals of the Founding Fathers.”

Up next: bringing back debtor’s prisons and “ugly laws.”

  1. Obviously this Mr. Vadum fellow is a Un- Christian Terrorist. One of the Christian Taliban! I would even go so far, as suggest by my studies in Gnosticism, and or how Gnosis implies…that you do not even become human until a certain level of higher consciousness has been obtained! This higher Consciousness is indicative of love and respect, and caring for all people regardless of the circumstances of their life! Human people do not hate others…regardless. This man is a hater…should we allow non- human Christian Taliban haters to vote?

  2. Dear Katrina Rose:

I strongly believe that to preserve the values on which our country was founded, it is essential that no corporation with holdings of less than $1,000,000,000 dollars be allowed the vote; the others are of little consequence, and can only represent as petty self-interests with a negligible Market Share.

And what of “people”, you say? Well… there are among us LEGAL PERSONS who COMMAND our respect, our awe, our fealty and total commitment… and then there are “people” (of little consequence, really, when you think of the VALUES for which this country stands!).

PS: I am so hoping, Katrina, that you will reflect upon the VALUES which we share, then reach into your pocketbook and contribute a little more than you can afford to my B.A.R.BLAYK “CAN HAZ G$?” campaign. You can be sure that once I am entitled to vote, I will strive to represent these VALUES! to the best of my ability!

“Holy hell, I can’t believe they went there…”

This seems to be part of my day all too frequently.
