What? No Speculation That Her Pre-Transition Name Might Have Been Big Pussy?

I’m shocked! Shocked, I say!

I mean…

We are supposed to be the trans mafia, aren’t we?

Queerty: Has a clear agenda. That transphobic one.

At least we now know that – technically at least – its not all gay marriage, all the time.

  1. Kathy says:

“Now when people call me scum,” she says

I tell them that’s nothing – you should hear what Queerty says about me?

It’s nice to see someone learning from Limbaugh’s mistakes.

  2. Megan says:

Damn. Even Cathy Brennan (or at least someone using her name) popped up in the comments thread saying that Queerty stepped over the line on this. I mean, if she of all people thinks that you’re being an asshole to trans people, you pretty much should just kill yourself.

  3. Ursa Maritimus says:

Queerty, as a blog, has been transphobic since 2007, and seems to attract the worst set of anti-trans commenters of any of the pseudonews gay blogs.

  4. bugbrennan says:

You guys are dumb. It’s misogyny.

    • Katrina Rose says:

Yet another word that you keep using that you do not know the meaning of.

    • valeriekeefe says:

Yes, it’s misogynistic at the same time as being cissexist, just like hating on lesbians who refuse to be cissexually constructed as men.

Cathy, you’re a dyke-basher. It doesn’t matter if every relationship a trans lesbian has has been where both she and her partner knew each other to be women, where she’s been read as a lesbian, it doesn’t matter. You hate women like me. I didn’t choose this either, but I learned not to fear it, I learned to see what was valuable, and value authenticity over fear of judgement. Sound familiar?

      • bugbrennan says:

Valerie, you are not a lesbian. I don’t think you should be discriminated against, but I also don’t think you get to torture reality. I also don’t hate women like you or women like Katrina Rose. I hate the bullshit you spread.

        Dyke basher. You crazy!

PS – Females are used to JUDGMENT. It doesn’t scare us. We are able to discern fact from fiction and not let erroneous judgments ruin our day.

      • bugbrennan says:

Also “I didn’t choose this either, but I learned not to fear it, I learned to see what was valuable, and value authenticity over fear of judgement.”

Sounds like you are in a cult. The cult of JENDAH!

      • Katrina Rose says:

        Females are used to JUDGMENT

        Judgment like this?

If BAC opposes the Antidiscrimination Act [specifically because it excludes trans people], it has taken an anti-gay position

Remind us again of how, given that pronouncement, it is not anti-trans to oppose trans-inclusion?

I also don’t think you get to torture reality.

        Hmmmm….

        You’re a bit too late.

You tortured reality to death while the Twin Towers were still standing.

      • bugbrennan says:

No dumb ass. Personal judgments. I don’t actually care what you think of me personally.

BAC was anti-gay. And so are you!

      • Katrina Rose says:

Maybe you should try putting some lithium in your coffee instead of sugar.

      • friday jones says:

Look out, Cathy’s got ‘roid rage! Isn’t it cute when she gets mad? Like Shirley Temple stamping her foot and shaking her curls with rage. Awwwww!

      • marjaerwin says:

Just because we’re trans doesn’t mean we believe in Jendah or sex-role stereotypes.

We don’t transition for these stereotypes. Many of us transition despite these stereotypes, despite Jendah. And a lot of trans feminist activism has centered on medical access, and on removing the gatekeeping that forces some of us to perform these stereotypes before we can start hormone therapy.

      • friday jones says:

Of course you are, Princess, we’ve always known that. And now the bingo card is full! Because you’ve now exhibited every sign of bigotry possible, including ascribing the actions of individuals to stereotypical generalizations about the entire group to which they belong.

A racist gets cut off in traffic by a POC, and suddenly it’s “All you [racial slur]s are shitty drivers.” Hey, you do that for trans women!

Racists go combing the world for any and all evidence to use against POC. Hey, you do that for trans women!

Racists bait POC by using slurs and dog whistles, and then take the responses made in righteous anger and wave them around as proof that those POC are uncivil savages. Hey, you do that to trans women!

Racists try to use the mechanism of government against POC, because they are privileged in society over them. Hey, you do that to trans women!

Racists talk openly of the POC’s body as bearing revolting characteristics, trying to depict them as grotesques, as inferior by Nature. Hey, you do that to trans women!

Racists are obsessed with race. They blame POC for existing openly in public society, and spend inordinate amounts of time and effort trying to eliminate all potential contact with POC in their private spheres. Hey, you do that with trans women!

Racists attempt to use false science to discredit and pathologize the subcultural behavior of POC, to say that their culture is illegitimate and “wrong.” Hey, you do that with trans women!

A racist will tell you openly that they would be disgusted to discover that someone they’ve had sex with in the past, who they assumed to be white, was actually a POC who “passed.” And we have the bingo, as long as we count the Free Space in the center of the card.

    • TransGriot says:

      and you’re a transphobe

      • valeriekeefe says:

I tend to prefer focusing on the language, which is misogynistic, for one, and cissexist, for two… I find that to be more telling and effective than speculating on the mental state of someone being openly disrespectful to a significant group of women, especially when that disrespect is directed against a goodly portion of the lesbian population.

      • friday jones says:

More of Cathy Brennan’s rampant misogyny. She actually thinks that there are things that women cannot or will not say, as if women are perpetual victims without agency by nature. You can bet that there are plenty of “WBW” out there that have said ALL SORTS of things. Some of them have even raped people, such as adult women committing statutory rape, rape in women’s prisons and so forth. But to Cathy Brennan, women are somehow incapable of saying or doing bad things, as if they were somehow docile by nature. As in, she thinks that there is a female mind apparently, despite having been busy trying to tell the world that gender is all a social construct. So she’s a liar, a hypocrite, AND a misogynist. The Trifecta!

      • friday jones says:

        Pssst! Hey Cathy!

A misogynist gets cut off in traffic by a woman, and suddenly it’s “All you [misogynist slur]s are shitty drivers.” Hey, you do that for trans women!

Misogynists go combing the world for any and all evidence to use against women. Hey, you do that for trans women!

Misogynists bait woman by using slurs and dog whistles, and then take the responses made in righteous anger and wave them around as proof that those woman are too emotionally unstable. Hey, you do that to trans women!

Misogynists try to use the mechanism of government against women, because they are privileged in society over them. Hey, you do that to trans women!

Misogynists talk openly of the woman’s body as bearing revolting characteristics, trying to depict them as grotesques, as inferior by Nature. Hey, you do that to trans women!

And we have the bingo, as long as we count the Free Space in the center of the card.

  5. friday jones says:

Yes, how cogent of you to notice that telling trans women that “you guys [sic] are dumb” is misogyny. At least you’re admitting that you’re a misogynist, that’s the first step towards being less of a misogynist, Cathy Brennan!

Oh, and I am looking forward to telling Bill Johnston that by taking over my old web domain he and I merged into a single person. Keep trying, eventually you’ll get the hang of that Internet stalking, what with all the practice you’ve been getting. If you’re good at microfiche scanning, you can out my old first name (I never changed my last name) by scanning records from before I transitioned in 1982. 🙂

    • bugbrennan says:

I love it when a dude mansplains like this. Thanks dude!

I wouldn’t waste my time searching you or anyone else, my minions do that and forward stuff to me. I wish they wouldn’t!

      • friday jones says:

Minions, eh? As a super-villain, your minions need improvement badly.

I love it when a pretty little thing like you gets all wet in the panties for me like this. You’re such a sweet little princess! But no matter how hard you keep begging me, I shan’t fist you, dear, because I’m not attracted to bigoted jackasses. Sorry!

      • Katrina Rose says:

I think she meant bunions – which would be a far more apt representation of their connection to civil rights.

      • friday jones says:

Muahaha, she posted my “pretty little thing” comment on her Facebook site acting all butthurt about how disgusting it was, and her little circle-jerk of haters were comparing it to rape (always a winner, conflating things one doesn’t like with rape of all things), as if Cathy had been minding her own business and got pounced on by the mean trans woman. They’re so into the misgendering their own selves that it never occurred to them that she’d been going to trans woman blogs practically climbing into our laps and begging “Spank me Mama, I’ve been naughty.”

And it’s no reflection on me when I tell someone who’s been furiously flirting with me the way Cathy Brennan has that I’m NOT interested in her, no matter HOW much she self-lubricates while reading my posts here.

Cathy Brennan, if you post here I am going to have to assume that it’s because you just can’t get enough of me even though I’ve told you “no thanks” already twice. That would make you some sort of sex-crazed stalker, Cathy. Stop sexually stalking me, I don’t want you. Radfem lesbians just aren’t any good in bed, what with all their daddy issues and whatnot. 😀

      • bugbrennan says:

Only a rapist-inclined man makes comments like this. You and Katrina are men. No one is buying what you are selling.

      • Katrina Rose says:

I also don’t hate women like you or women like Katrina Rose.

        You and Katrina are men.

I suppose it would also be misogyny and/or mansplaining and/or the heartbreak of psoriasis, etc. to suggest the possibility of entomological schizophrenia. (I also presume that I would not be the first to so suggest.)

        Have a nice day!

      • bugbrennan says:

I’d suggest you stop making comments about me.

      • Katrina Rose says:

Another threat from you against a trans woman…

        How typical….

Nevertheless, have a scrumdiddlyumptious day while you’re internet trolling!

      • friday jones says:

Whoa, she commented IMMEDIATELY after I told her that commenting here meant she was horny for me. After I rejected her twice, now she’s throwing herself at me! Ewww! I think she’s kinda gross though, so the answer is still “no” Cathy. And No means No, so stop nonconsensually topping me from the bottom, you little minx!

      • friday jones says:

Oh, and BTW, her tiny little circle of pretendbian haterade guzzlers are pretty sure that it’s just like rape when someone posts something sexual on a blog. They’re such delicate little hothouse flowers! Especially the big dieselly one with the bandanna, leathers, and motorbike. Why is it that the big ones with the tattoos and Harley jackets so often turn out to have spines of quivering gelatin?

One thing’s for certain: You can tell who the chickenshit pretendbian fakes are, because they don’t allow comments on THEIR blogs that disagree with their thesis. People like Kat Rose are about 1000 times more brave AND genuine for allowing the very people who hate them most to post comments on their blogs without editing or deleting them. It’s easy to be all Internet tough when you use the delete button to silence criticism. It takes moxie to let the haters shit all over your own blog.

      • Katrina Rose says:

People like Kat Rose are about 1000 times more brave AND genuine for allowing the very people who hate them most to post comments on their blogs….

Not brave as much as energy-efficient.

I’m basically just letting the exterminationism twins and the Queen of Corona write my dissertation for me.

  6. Cromulent says:

Yes calling someone a “Tranny Ho” is not – even in some small way – transphobic. Can you people read?

Oh – while we’re at it – water is not wet.

    • Katrina Rose says:

      Can you people read?

I think its been conclusively established that the answer to that question is no – at least to any extent involving comprehension.

I think of Spock being asked if he can reproduce whale sounds, responding that, though he can literally reproduce them, without actual knowledge of the language he would be reproducuing gibberish – and gibberish is precisely what results when these allegedly-educated LezBirchSociety-oids open their mouths about, well…

      …pretty much anything.

      • Cromulent says:

It does beg the question of whether she can even give an example of something that would be transphobic, if this is not in any way transphobic. Leading one to wonder if she thinks anything is at all.

But – I’m willing to listen to some more cissplaining about what we should find transphobic and who we are – the next one will have to be tre amusing to top this last one. Should I make some popcorn?

      • Katrina Rose says:

Leading one to wonder if she thinks anything is at all.

Could I ask you why you included the word “is” in the above?

      • valeriekeefe says:

I prefer cissexist, but we kids today are so annoying what with with the texting and the Serano and such.

  7. valeriekeefe says:

It’s interesting, Cathy. Here I am, having transitioned at roughly the 25th percentile for age of transition (according to NGLTF), having gone through a littany of abuse in school for my perceived mannerisms. (Yes, I’m arch and prim, totally copped to, don’t really know how that makes me femmy, but whatever) and never having a relationship with a woman who was under the impression that I wasn’t a woman…

Oh, and if you want to be cisessentialist about it, the two women I’ve lived with share my CASAB…

Not to mention being the victim of a very public sexual assault during my teens where someone groped my breasts (yes, they grew in around 9th or 10th grade)

And yet, and YET, despite the premise of your piece Gayhood is significant, (And again, how little respect must your unnamed, and possibly intangible, trans friends must have for themselves to be big-titted fa**ots and dy**s in denial in your eyes and your columns and still want to hang out with you… boggles the mind) you insist on refusing to acknowledge my life, you insist on trying to cissexually construct me as some femmey straight boy. The most stereotypically femme piece of clothing I own being a pair of pants without pockets, by the way. This isn’t about clothing. It isn’t about presentation, it’s not about the arbitrary ephemera that surround the language by which we articulate neurological sex.

It’s about that bit of non-plastic neurology itself, just like sexual orientation. Just like you couldn’t and shouldn’t, be expected to train yourself to like men. And you refuse to acknowledge that. I’m not surprised, really.

  8. Vic says:

    @Brennan:

I didn’t know who you were before coming to this hellish blog, but I was struck by how much these warped trans activists used you as their personal Great Satan. I concluded, correctly, that anyone who is so passionately hated by trans activists is probably pretty cool.

I don’t necessarily agree with all of your positions, but I agree with most of them. Your point that it is an antigay position to oppose gay civil rights laws on the grounds that those laws don’t satisfy trans activist demands is spot on. We need to makes sure that Chad Griffin hears that message.

I am also impressed by the thoughtful, reasoned manner with which you confront these violence-prone, malicious hooligans. That shows character and courage. Please don’t be intimindated by them. There aren’t more than a few dozen of these thugs. They rely on induced fear to magnify their power.

    @Valerie:

If you don’t want to be improperly taken for someone who isn’t genuinely a woman, then stop using LGBT to describe yourself. What message do you think LGBT sends to the world about Ts? It is that trans women are not really women, but are just really fem gay guys who call themselves women. Or in your case, a really fem straight guy. If you are a woman, then be a woman, not someone who is somehow linked to male homosexuals.

    • valeriekeefe says:

Vic, I don’t refer to myself as LGBT. I refer to a movement that attempts or purports to focus on heteronomativity and cisnormativity as whatever permutation of the letters B, G, L, and T I arbitrarily select that second. in I’m a trans lesbian, and to drop recognition of either of those would deny a massive part of who I am. I am no less a woman because of my sexual orientation or my coercively assigned sex at birth.

If you are a woman, then be a woman, not someone who is somehow linked to male homosexuals.

In conclusion, I’m linked to my fellow female homosexuals, you twit.

      • Cromulent says:

Yeah – be a real woman. Not like that Kathy Griffin, Margaret Cho or Meaghan MCCain. Real women don’t let themselves be linked to gay men.

Real gay men don’t like women, anyway. Ask Vic. No Babs, Gaga, Miss M or Garland on his playlist.

    • valeriekeefe says:

Oh, and by the by, there are plenty of people who I consider a greater threat to civilization than Cathy Brennan. Hers is the event of the moment, the [unfortunate metaphor] into which I must [really unfortunate metaphor] my [painfully unfortunate metaphor] until I think of something more constructive when it comes to fighting oppression.

      • TransGriot says:

Valerie, those people you may consider more dangerous than Brennan didn’t act on their transphobia and co-write with Elizabeth Hungerford a transphobic paper to the United Nations.

      • Cromulent says:

Exactly. She’s annoying and a dick – but everytime she speaks she undermines what little reputation she may have had. People are starting to look at her like those flouridated water kooks – only trans people are her idee fixe.

Also, if you go to valeriekeefe dot livejournal dot com /49514 dot html (seriously wordpress, one day those screaming my name in riteous fury will conquer your lands and salt your fields so nothing will grow for millenia… anyhoo) you can see my response to Cathy. Vic remains about as visible online as a bathtub fart so there’s really no there there to reply to.

    =================================

    You’re a woman.
    You’re a man.

    I support trans equality.
I don’t support trans people having public accommodation civil rights.

Why can’t you people be civil?
    You’re dumb.

Look at me, Look at me, Look at Me!
    Stop making comments about me.

    ==================

It doesn’t work that way – you’re a public figure trying to influence public policy. Your statements are made in the public sphere through a publication – Baltimore Outloud. Which has much more power than this tiny neck of the web.

Where – unlike Katrina – you don’t allow comments on your scribblings. No comments for them! Come back in one week! Then bait others as cowards. Sweet!

You don’t get to control people elsewhere.

    HAPPY TO BE TRANSPHOBIC.
    ————————————–
I stand corrected. Cathy Brennan can indeed give at least one example of transphobia.

Well done, Attorney Brennan! Though you don’t present as a particularly happy person. Perhaps you should spend more time with your family?

    • friday jones says:

But then THEY’D be less happy. With Cathy, happiness is a zero-sum game.

      • Cromulent says:

Even Sister Mary Ignatius loves her family. And I’m sure they love her.

      • Vic says:

What would you know about happiness or family, miserable tranny? You have neither.

If Brennan is an attorney, she should sue you and all the other trans activist thugs who harass and defame her on the internet. If she has any contacts in the Department of Justice, she should arrange to have you all renditioned to Syria, where you could live out your sad lives as part of a really ugly concubine harem for Bashar Assad.

BTW, she was right about your comment above. No genuine woman could produce a post like that. You are a male who uses language laden with rape imagery. I’m a male, so I know whereof I speak.

      • Katrina Rose says:

        I’m a male

        Chromosome test, please.

If Brennan is an attorney, she should sue you and all the other trans activist thugs who harass and defame her on the internet

        Good acting job, “Vic”

      • friday jones says:

“…you could live out your sad lives as part of a really ugly concubine harem…” -Vic
“…a male who uses language laden with rape imagery. I’m a male, so I know whereof I speak…” -Vic

I see. So YOU use ACTUAL rape imagery, and you believe that my telling Cathy “No” to her constant entreaties for sex is somehow rape imagery too? I guess I’m just not as weak as you and Cathy and her pack of radfem hounds are, because I’m not shitting my pants at the use of “imagery.” Scary scary “imagery!” OH NOEZ! Look out for the scary mind-pictures!

      • marjaerwin says:

But Vic’s a man. So when he uses rape imagery, he’s just proving his manhood. Or something.

If being a [real] man means being a misogynistic creep, then maybe feminists should encourage *everyone* to get as far from [real] manhood as they can.

  12. friday jones says:

What would you know, Brazil Nuts? If you’re a male as you claim, then you know jack nor shit about what constitutes a “real woman(tm),” you just have stereotypes, like any bigot would. And since you’re a homoboy, the last time you had contact with a woman she was your Mama, who had you about nine months after the Fleet came into port.

Now speaking of rape imagery, homosex DVD porn, that’s practically all coercion and bondage and rape. All those hardcore videos by Colt, and Titan Media, and Jocks, it’s almost all about forcing straight men to service gay men

    • Vic says:

Gee, for a “woman” you sure know alot about gay porn. It’s almost as if you are really a dude, huh?

Oh, and please feel free to call me “Brazil nuts” and “homoboy.” I’ll just call you Bill.

      • friday jones says:

Yeah, I was in business with two gay men once, I made leather harnesses and chaps in the back of the shop and they sold those plus shitloads of bondage gear, lube, poppers of all types, and gay porn DVD’s. Unfortunately, I had to help them with inventory. You gay guys sure like you a lot of “sex pig” porn, don’t you, little piggy, hmmmmm? WHEEEE!

What would you know about happiness or family, miserable tranny? You have neither.
    …………….

There is the small joy of hearing you try to pass yourself as a man. And I have more family than you, I’m quite sure.

But please – do tell us more of your expertise regarding rape. It’s something you have personal insight to then? One would never guess given how you treat the women here.

    • Vic says:

I can honestly say that I have not spoken rudely to a single woman here.

As for rape, I am opposed to it, as I am opposed to all violence against women or men. That is why I find the tranny love for violence, violent language, and violent imagery to be disturbing.

I said above that I am male and I can recognize familiar patterns in male speech, all of which is in abundant evidence in “Friday Jones’s” posts. That doesn’t mean that I practice or endorse rape. You should turn your inquiring mind loose on your fellow trannies. Please ask them why they are constantly enraged, why they attack one another all the time, and why they feel the need to demonize gay people, feminists, lesbians, and Cathy Brennan.

      • Cromulent says:

        “I can honestly say”
        ————–

How do you know when Vic is lieing?

      • valeriekeefe says:

Vic would like for someone to repeat the implication of that statement, the sad little tryke-basher that he is. I’m sorry Vic, when you speak rudely to Friday or Kat or I, which you have done, you’re speaking rudely to women, as even Cathy Brennan herself has pointed out when she says that hatred of trans women is misogynistic. (She would rather quibble as to what qualifies as hatred)

    • friday jones says:

“I find the tranny love for violence, violent language, and violent imagery to be disturbing. ” -Vic
“…you could live out your sad lives as part of a really ugly concubine harem…” -Vic
      Oh Piggy, you so funny!

“…I am male and I can recognize familiar patterns in male speech…”-Vic
Oh look, Vic actually thinks that there is an essential difference between the male and female genders that limits the modes of speech available to women. Sounds like Vic is worshiping in the cult of Jendah! And he’s never heard of women who are comedy writers, women who are actors, women who can think up and pretty much say anything they damn well please. Because ViCathy is a misogynist piglet.

The harem joke was not a rape joke. I assumed that it would be a consensual scenario. I mean, it isn’t like you have many options in the dating department and Bashar’s personality would be compatible with the malformed personalities of all the trannies here.

BTW, I can’t imagine why you left that job at the porno shop. Since you surely could not make it in shemale porn, stocking DVDs and dildos seems like a good fit for you.

Well, we sure sold a LOT of GIGANTIC dildos to the gay men, who apparently enjoy assplay a lot. And lesbians used to come in in groups of two to four apiece, usually to buy floggers and other BDSM gear, sometimes to buy strap-on dildo harnesses or vibrating eggs or a Hitachi wand.

But I didn’t have any problem with how sex-obsessed Gay and Lesbian people seemed to be from the perspective of working in a retail establishment catering to the Gay & Lesbian communities, the only LGBT people I’ve ever seen as any sort of problem are the radfems, who would never EVER have ANYTHING to do with such a shop because they hate sex so much that whenever they open their knees, dust billows out of their withered radfem vaginas. Moths flutter out of their sensible cotton granny panties, begging for a hit of mothballs to clear their palates.

      • Vic says:

You worked at a sex shop that catered to gays. You saw gay customers buy products at the shop. And you concluded from this that gays are sex obsessed. If you had worked at a gay restaurant, you would have concluded that gays are obsessed with food. Your intelligence is only exceeded by your authentic feminine beauty.

BTW, I don’t know if what you say about dusty radfem vaginas is true. However, at least they have vaginas, not some carving from 1982.

To be fair, sensible cotton granny panties are kinda hot.

      • friday jones says:

Well. you see, it’s not that they were in a gay sex shop buying sex toys that was remarkable, it was just how HUGE those dildos usually were that we sold to the gay guys. I mean, we had all sizes, but they always wanted big-big-BIG. Not to mention the inhalant addiction. Man I hated the fact that we sold Poppers at the shop.

For a gay guy, you’re sure obsessed with vaginas, Vic. Are you saying that you stole the radfems’ special carvings in 1982 and that’s why they have dusty vaginas? They coulda whittled them some new carvings!

      • friday jones says:

By the way, what would a “gay restaurant” entail? Serving nothing but sausages perhaps? Seems that the only gay-and-lesbian specific businesses out there are actually sex shops and bars. And the sex shops also cater to straights and pansexuals who are into toys or need lube by the half-liter. There’s no such thing as a “gay restaurant,” you dummy, because there’s no such thing as gay or straight food. You really are a senile old queen aren’t you, “Vic?”

      ====================================

Of course not. Saying a group of people should be brought against their wills to somewhere where they’re held captive for the rest of their lives and provide sex to their captor was……….what exactly if not a rape statement?

OK – it wasn’t funny – so you can argue it’s not a joke.

But how is it not meant as a rape threat? To put people in “their place”. And what is “their place”?

      Please explain.

I have no idea if gays are sex obsessed – or even if that’s such a terrible thing.

I do know that some people who say they’re gay and say they’re men are obsessed with woman who have trans histories and rape jokes.

I have no idea what career that qualifies them for.
